Mama Tried is owned and operated by a group of bartenders, librarians, construction workers, filmmakers, DJs, teachers, bowling enthusiasts, snowcone peddlers and water polo coaches. We all got together and pitched in what we could to make this neighborhood bar happen.

A cozy and affordable throwback in the center of Downtown Miami, Mama Tried is a quiet spot for happy hour and a rowdy spot for a late night. We want you to feel comfortable and throw one back however you want.

We decided to honor that closest to our own hearts: our Mamas. Cause they all tried.
